Updating the home office has quickly superseded every other project that we’ve been thinking about. Why? Because my little shuzlets aren’t quite so little anymore. They’re talking about computers and they have mountains of homework (for second graders). I refuse to turn their room into a dorm, so our solution: make our home office into a “real” home office.

I love the hanging pendants here…we’ll have open bookshelves (otherwise it’s too much wood), but this pendant idea will be the perfect way to keep the space airy and bright.
